Following on from last years great day in Yorkshire I think its about time we started putting something together for this years event. I'm happy enough to take it on again and have already had several offers of help and some interesting new ideas to make the weekend even better. No matter what date is selected it won't suit everyone so I've just had to pick a date that suits me (!) which is more or less the same as last year; Sunday 15th July. The venue is to be confirmed yet but it will hopefully be somewhere in Yorkshire again with an overnight accommodation option. The choice of venue is giving me more concern though,- the Old Lodge at Malton was a fantastic venue,with great accommodation, fine food and friendly welcoming owners, but I do have 3 main 'considerations' ;
1) We were exceptionally lucky last year with the weather, but if it were to rain beforehand, or on the day, what sort of mess would we make of their beautiful front lawn, or even if they would let us on it. (The rear of the hotel is also grass parking)

2) Whether it will be big enough? last year we had 40 cars and that was pretty much full up, I would expect at least that number this year plus 'others'.

3) Should it be opened up to all 'sporty' Audis? My opinion is basically that there are plenty other Audi related events for folk to go to going on all year; this is our day; specifically B7 RS4's. That said, I would be more than happy to do as last year, that is, to have all the B7s together in the 'prime site' and any others who want to come along parked in a separate car park. To organise an all encompassing Audi meet would take much more time than I have to give, and I feel would dilute our special B7 RS4 day. In order that I can get some idea of numbers can you please start adding names to the list below as soon as possible. If you have any comments or observations they would be welcome.

Count me in I'd say me plus my mates so we can go get sloshed the night before and we'll most likely stay an extra night for more alcohol :)

Big thanks for setting this in motion again.
Understand your reservations about hotel and weather... but it was a great venue.
(though the ride-outs weren't that great iirc)

Agreed, I for one wouldn't make that journey to be relegated to a sub-car park!

There is more to the meet than where you park. You can have my space Dave.

but its the principal ... its not really in the spirit of the forum as a whole

there is no benefit to limiting it to B7's only, except to have photo's of just B7's ...

I said the same last year, when I had a B7

Why would it be a "much better idea" David? It's an alternative idea but not a better one. This is the B7 RS4 forum, I own a B7 RS4. Like many others, I only use the entire RS246 forum to read and comment upon issues/posts concerning B7 RS4's and to talk to the owners of those particular cars. I'm giving up a very valuable summertime weekend to organise an annual meet up with my fellow B7 RS4 owners and friends that I communicate with on the B7 RS4 forum section. :)
