DRC- Very Annoying

How is this for annoying........
I bought my 07 RS4 from Slough Audi in october 2010 and when they MOT'd the car before delivery it failed on the fact that one of the shocks was leaking. It was duly replaced and I took delivery of the car. The car came with a one year Audi warranty and six months later I took the car into slough for them to investigate a suspension knocking noise. They inspected it and said it was all fine. The knock got gradually worse but still only intermittent and over certain types of bumps. Booked the car in a few weeks ago with Rob at Camberley Audi and dropped the car off yesterday and asked if he could investigate the knocking. Mentioned about known DRC issues on them and Rob was very knowledgable and helpful but notified me that Audi have recently changed their policy in relation to DRC issues. Apparently any goodwill gestures are now decided at a dealer level based on various factors and Audi will no longer simply rectify DRC issues as they previously did. Rob said it may not be a DRC issue and said he would call me when he started work on the car today to advise.
Got a call today and ALL three shocks except the one that was replaced when I took delivery of the car need replacing. Audi will only make a goodwill gesture of circa £500 towards it. I have put in a complaint to Audi customer services but they have said it will take time to assess the complaint. In the interim I have advised Rob to go ahead with the repairs as it is going to need doing anyway.
Very frustrated considering the car has only covered 34k miles. Does anyone have any advice?
