Need to get some oil for a service, and if some peeps hav been researching recently, anybody come up with cheapest place to buy, as some places might have them on offer? Prefer castrol edge 1st choice followed by Mobil 1. Can these oils be obtained from TPS at very competitive prices? ...and if so, how can u get prices of them?....I once rang up tps, but they wouldn't give me a price cos I wasn't trade.

Whats wrong with the likes of the Comma and less well known brands, looks like it wil do the business, I used to work in the car industry and we used to sell shitloads of Comma stuff. Its a lot cheaper than these premium brands.. bet it's just as good

i was looking into getting some oil recently. I found an article where they tested oils for how they where affected by use and temperature etc.
The difference in oils from cheap to premium brands seams to be bigger then difference in cheap and premium tyres!
Your top branded oils where as you would expect near the top for performance but there was a big jump to this stuff

I've noticed the same, ever since using the castrol, I'm having to top up more often compared to wen I had Mobil1 in!
The Costco in Leeds never has the right viscosity of castrol or Mobil 1 ; been lookin out for it over a yr! I think they have the 5w-40, and its only £28.
EBay looks best bet, but If Asda currently do have castrol at £35, then that Wil be hard to beat cos on eBay, likely to have to pay about £6 postage. I once bought 5lt Mobil 1 for £32 at Asda!!
