Supercharging - Devalue a potential classic?
Supercharging - Devalue a potential classic?
So so tempted with a supercharger but, i have in the back of my mind that one day my RS4 could become a classic, especially with it's spec and history.. So, assuming that it does would a supercharger render it worthless against standard remaining models?

Re: Supercharging - Devalue a potential classic?
IMHO do it , who cares if it turns into classic , you didn't buy it for that reason . The car is yours to do whatever makes you happy. It can always be put back to standard if you retain all the oem equipment , Afaik the new supercharger kits are pretty much bolt on anyway.

Re: Supercharging - Devalue a potential classic?
I don't think you'll lose money with supercharging it and then it goes onto becoming a classic - there are 1300 B7 RS4's in the UK - you can always buy one of those and store it if you're worried about devaluing your vehicle post-mod.

The B5 a classic, maybe. The B7, I'm not sure.

Re: Supercharging - Devalue a potential classic?
The B8 will purportedly use the same NA engine. This will dilute its greatness a fair bit
Still, the best car I've ever owned. Supercharging will only make it more special

Mine is supercharged and I kept the stock parts to convert it back if the next owner chooses. Go for it!
