noooooo.

they are saying loads of people are on it, so i gave them 250 quid to hold it for me, till ive seen it, and for whatever reason if i dont like it, or it doesnt stack up, i get my 250 quid back!

been looking for a while, wanted a low mile black one etc, which it is, so i thought i'd secure first shout against it.

know what i'm looking for, this will be my 3rd one.

Didn't buy it.

August 07 car. Not serviced till June 09 and then at an independent in Poole. Disks and pads changed. 9000 miles. Not serviced agin till June 2011. 23k.

No bluetooth, dark grey gloss wheels that needed re-doing and jut had 4 accelera tyres put on, so no change from dealer?.total cost of said <beep> tyres is 350 quid fitted, so can't stay on. Non res milltek fitted, and there was no noticeable kick under load. So a few bits that needed remedy or further attention.

Apart from the above, ,a good condition car.

So, given patchy history, and what I see as about 2k of work needed to get how i waned it, I decided not to buy it.

It doesn't if they have not been bedded in properly or are suffering from heat spots. At one point I was changing mine every 5k miles until I went to EBC YS's

service sounds about right to me if it was on long life, who was the dealer in poole? and the discs and pads could just have been dirty and did not need changing but badly advised from dealer,no bluetooth £300 fix

Apd? Something like that.

Not main deal though and given that the car was two years old and still under warranty, that suprised me.

Also needing discs and pads at 9k?

If I doubt, i walk away.

There will always be another car.

Warranty shouldnt be a factor with servicing as the EU law is pretty strict on this. Manufacturers can not void a warranty by having the car serviced elsewhere (as long as vat registered or something). Some independants are held in a higher regards than some dealers.

Servicing was classic long life so the dates are ok.

If the car has been mapped for the miltek then the kick may be mapped out. Mine doesn't have a massive kick but thats down in part to the CAF and torque limiter being removed.

Approved, are you saying Audi main dealer fitted Accelera tyres?
What a f77Kin joke!
I don't know how they can dare fit the ultimate sh1te tyre to any approved Audi let alone an RS4.

Audi main dealers like low mileage cars and quite often by some right low mileage dogs and this just doesn't stack up.
Just checked and it's had 5 owners too which would make it very hard to prove the mileage was genuine

no mate, when i got to view the car, it was wearing very recently fitted accelra tyres.

i pulled him on it, and his words were if they need changing we'll change them, but if not they wont. They were correct fitment and load etc, so likely not to be changed. 80 each online.

it was a few things that swayed me against overall.

1/ tyres - 1000 to fix.
2/ bluetooth - 300 to fix
3/ wheels in grey gloss - 400 to fix?
4/ the car being serviced after 2 years at only 9000 miles by an independant, and needing disks and pads.
5/ no kick, milltek fitted, so could be as simple as mapped out, or not, but given my previous experience's with manchester audi and their techs, if the computer doesnt find the fault, then its needle in haystack time, at my cost until proven to be fault and then rectified etc. Not necessarily a bad thing, but consuming time wise, and potentially expensive depending on what the fault is.

wasnt too bothered about the five owners, as its 5 years old, but as you say, near on impossible to verify mileage etc.

there is also the issue of resale. Its something else to try and explain, and given i cant, even the best cars get walked away from it they have holes in and/or suspect history.

quest continues.
