Engine management light comes on roughly once in 3 weeks of driving, due to over fueling. Mixture adaption too rich P2178 suspect fault with injector.Possible swap injectors bank to bank and retest, has anyone had a similar prob?

Thanks for the info,is your car running ok now? My mechanic has checked for air leaks all is ok he suspects it could be a fault with an injector also recommend I have remap checked for fueling as the light came on around one week after remap

Which ECU software are you on? 0080 or 0090?
As i replaced the valve for the airbox flap today i have to test a few more days but i think the error still exists as the last logs showed.

I'm not to sure about the software I will find out tomorrow, the work I have had done recently is a decoke, induction flap removed + fitted cold air feed to air box and replaced solenoid for air change over due to split causing engine to run lean. This work was done approx two months before fault, I will keep you informed about any progress. I'm going back to AMD tomorrow about software and then look into the issue with injectors

Took car in to Mms, mechanic reset throttle body, changed my itg air filter for hi flow dry replacement as have bn told the oil can effect sensors also replaced air mass sensor, will have to see of the dreaded light comes back on. One thing is the car is more lively and pulls stronger, prob down to the air mass meter being replaced. Staying away from injectors at the mo because off the work involved ie inlet manifold removal, will keep you posted

Ah hm, i'll have to measure my air flow values - my throttle body has been reset one time. Will be interesting if your error disappeared.

Driven 80 miles today no lights as yet early days I suppose, my cars done 42k now and changing the air mass has made a big difference to performance!!! Drove back home like a mad man, just as well the wife wasn't in the car, she would have been chewing my ear off

Hi my car has just developed the same two faults what is causing this? I'm still running 0080 version does this make a difference? Before getting it booked in somewhere I was wondering if there is anything I can do myself? Faults are system too rich and bank 2 insufficient air flow?

Is this something I can sort myself, any ideas where I should check, my exhaust flaps have not been opening as they should I suspected they were in need of oiling, when im driving they seem to work better, this must be because there is no air in resavoirs?

Look in exhaust FAQ - exhaust flaps need vac to close not open.
Worth a search ad very common

Sounds like a vac leak on your car,I've had no problems with my car since my earlier post, and have done 1,500 miles since
