JHM has been testing a carbon build up terminator. The Carbonator. Turns out it's doing its job. They're being tight lipped but looking exciting for the FSI.

Indeed, great idea but some way to go before being the holy grail of cb elimination.

well, fact is they're the only ones still working on a product now that the catch can idea has failed. They've been testing it on their in house RS4 for a few months...and after opening the manifold they were very happy with what they saw last night.

why is that? People said the same thing when JHM decided to develop performance parts for the 'already wrung out' RS4. 'You can't get any more out of it'. Here...hold your breath for 2 more minutes :)

Hopeful... but doubtful.... sounds like a product the shape of a small non moving turbine for 19.99 that says by adding to your intake you can improve fuel economy by 25%

sakimano - you're not paid by JHM are you?

Only you've recently started posting a lot, and there's a lot of mentions of JHM...

No suggestion of anything sinister, just curious?

BS
snake oil

absolutely no information
if there was a simple solution wouldn't BMW, AUDI, Porsche, MB, etc. come up with it?
a couple of guys in a garage with more R&D resource and brainpower than the above? doubt it

lol absolutely not. Quite the opposite...I have to pay them. :beerchug:

This site seems to be missing out on a lot of great info for the platform. Fact is however that JHM gets brought up plenty without me

like
http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=93435 and
http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=93464 and
http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=93370 and
http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=93435 etc.

I'm just lucky enough to be a good customer (for my last car anyway) who is in contact with them once in a while, so I get to hear what they're working on. I've met the guys on numerous occasions at meets and get-togethers in the Detroit area (2 hrs from my house). Since you live 3000 miles away from them, I can understand your lack of contact. People who deal with milltek and MRC and discuss their products on this forum aren't paid by them are they? No they're just fortunate enough to be in contact with those two UK companies. Kind of like you. You're not paid by Milltek are you? You mention them a LOT.

I've just started posting here because I just bought an RS4 3 weeks ago.

I love you too Arthur. Try to keep it civil. I'm going to kill you with kindness/ignore your antagonistic posts my man. Good luck with your car.

you are seeding forums with this stuff... http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2815270
antagonistic? you are shilling for a non-member vendor...
civil? calling BS when I see it?
this is all smoke and mirrors, 100 mpg electric superchargers, magic stereo wire type stuff...
first you assume it's a major problem...many do not feel the same, minor power loss if any
then you build up the fear with hype
then you sell a crude solution for a non-existent problem
marketing 101: chia pets and pet rocks
patents don't apply to previously used technologies like a port injector

as far as this forum being uninformed or 'missing out on a lot of great info', again, BS, this is actually one of, if not, the best out there...
they just don't subscribe the the American mentality of 'the sky is falling' so spend $$$ to prop it up
they actually enjoy their cars...

BRT-Works is Bert-Works...a.k.a. Dan Bertocchini, the General Manager at JHM, and a B7 RS4 owner.
