Clicking sound

For the past few days I have been getting a click...click...click etc sound coming from behind the passenger side of the dashboard which goes after about 40 secs. This has been happening consistantly about 5 minutes after starting up. Everything seems to be running OK but as you all know something out of the ordinary on the beasty always manages to make the wallet a bit tense

. Any one had this or any ideas as to what it might be.

Motor for the air vents?
Sounds like it's trying to move or got stuck?

Mate - I've got the same thing. About 3-5 minutes after start the clicking starts from behind the passenger dash for 20-30 secs then stops. I've had it for 2 years now and nothing's blown up so can't be that bad. When my wife steals the car she says she clicks along with it and calls it the 'clicking gremlin' but she is a bit simple - I married her for her looks obviously. I've always felt the aircon in the RS was poor so maybe it is some airvent thing that's got stuck - might speak to Audi or I could just live with it and set fire to £20 notes instead.

Didn't someone on here (Dave?) have the same problem a few weeks ago ?
Turned out to be an actuating motor (that's a servo then).

OK - a possible rare 'feature' of the RS which doubles as in car family entertainment !

Jack, is it a really "faint" clicking ?
Could it be the RNSE which according to my questions the other week, makes all sorts of clicking/whirring sounds for some minutes after switch-off/on ?

Given I have non res milly and 100cel cats I could describe anything I hear in the car as 'faint' ! Its quite audible and as RNSE in centre of the dash - the clicking is definitely on the passenger side.

No, it was there before I fitted both the milly and the RNS-E, it's quite distinctive and definitely from the passenger side glove box area.
