number of keys?

OK I'm just waiting for the right Avant to come up for sale
What would you expect to be provided with a *good* RS4 ?
I ask as I have seen a advert local Avant for a very low mileage boasting "two Keys" which doesn't seem enough from a previous Audi I owned
How many keys were provided - normal / service / emergency
Along with Manual / FASH / Nav CDs / receipts / evidence of regular bed time stories - anything else to ask for?

I've had my car from new and I have 2 x standard keys with remote etc, and a plastic key.

Two keys and plastic key seems to be the norm. Make sure the owners hand book / sat nav user guide is there - you might need the radio / nav code which is usually a
Sticker.

They don't give a radio code anymore, just hook it up to Germany to decode it now. My manual doesn't have a code & that is what I was told by Audi, however there must be a code, just not prublished anymore.

no code needed if you have the nav system,your car will know its correct

Yes, they original stereo & the car are "paired" so won't need the code, however any retrofit equipment will need the code punched in whenever the battery is disconnected.

Nonsense, although I do fear for whoever tries to sell you an RS4 upgrade as you will know all the answers...

BTW if the plastic key has been lost/is with the 1st owner it isn't a big deal, although you could budget/demand 100 to have a new one cut & matched to the remote keys (which would also prevent any previous keys from starting the car)

Mine came with two normal and one plastic key. Also got a plastic tag with a code inside and an Audi "silver bullet" key ring from the previous owner.
