Been looking into different options for this and are looking at the 2 below, does anyone have any experience with either or even another option maybe? I think i am swaying towards the amazon one at the moment.

Audi make 2, a foam job that is quite cheap ~35 from the dealers & a reversible one which is really nice as it is double length so folds out to cover the seat backs when folded down. I was lucky to pick one of these up on eBay really pleased with it & use the foam one in winter when more likely to put wet bags/boots etc inside.

Here is one startinf at 50 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A4-Avant ... 231447712b

Cheers MB2, only problem is that one doesnt look like it covers the sides.

I should have been clearer, i need the sides protected because the wife uses a double buggy twice a week that touches both sides of the boot.

Hi There

I got the full hatchbag kit when I bought my RS4. I have a couple of dogs and it does a great job of protecting the boot compartment. Very good quality and fits perfectly.

I would also recommend getting the tailgate add on. Its only a few quid more but means all sides of the compartment are protected.

PM me if you want some pictures

Hi mate, as we discussed .. +1 for a Hatchbag.

You can get it with or without the cutout required to fit the load liner and also I would recommend the option of a velco seam so you can lower the rear seats without having to unhook all the velcro tabs that tie on to the headrests.

We have two MASSIVE dogs who clambered in and out the boot for a couple of year (not anymore thank god!) one is slobbery on is very hairy and they love rivers ... I took that hatchbag out a while ago and apart from a few hairs the boot looks like new :) Apart from a few marks the bag is also still like new .. no rips tears etc etc.

Only two slight negatives .. the rear bumper protector is too narrow so doesn't fully protect the outer edges of the bumper so I folded a large thick sheet over the bumper everytime the beasts got in and out. Also, it is expensive with a fairly long lead time .... but it is top quality.

Hatchbag definitely. Had three of these now and they are virtually indestructible.

Another +1 Hatchabg customer. I got one for the avant, + back seat split, tailgate cover and rubber matt. Pricey but extremely well made. Fits like a glove.
