well ive had a clinking knocking noise for a couple of weeks nor on the front near side,
so i stripped down the suspension and checked, it sounded like the top castle nut was loose. it wasnt, then the drc pipe just sheared off, no spurt of oil or anything,

i knew they were on their way out so i have already been in contact with a coilover supplier. these will be ordered tomorrow :biggrin3:

so ill strip and clean my KW adjustable springs and get them forsale if anyones interested,

on a plus i finished the off side wrap but still need to remove the front bumper tomorrow to wrap the grill

He mentioned in the aitp thread that they were on order and will take a while as they are being custom made.

i decided to take the pads out as the light came on the other week, not driven it in a month now still waiting on the bloody coilovers i hope they are worth it bit dont want the KWs

whilst the pads were out i removed the caliper and decided id try the 390 c6 disk again, well it fitted, it will need some brackets made up but it fits not sure ill go with this but we will see.

Image

waiting for new pads and disks to be skimmed i decided to add the new EBC woodstuff pad claiming to be better than the rest they have produced so far.

Image

and just to stop the pistons coming out if i forget and press the pedal :biggrin3:

the new rim arrived after my kerbing incident, the mrs didnt understand the need to replace and buy a brand new one nevertheless this arrived

Image

whilst shes just sat waiting i decided to get rid of the other poor looking caps, but modification was needed for them

Image

Image

cut the excess off and glued in

Image

same for the PAS

Image

Image

i will also be fitting one to the washer bottle, i know you can get a forge one but i dont like the forge logo on it

Image

when these were on i had a look but didnt like the white behind the cap or the text on the pas res and brake fluid res so i decided to make some cardboard templates and make these covers from 1mm genuine carbon

Image

Image

will update pics tomorrow when the rest of the carbon has dried

I'd go for a smaller brake disc, too much of the surface will go unswept by the brake pads, rust over and look silly.
B7 RS4 saloon Misano red, comfy seats, JHM tune & JHM full exhaust with cats and resonators - gone.
C5 RS6 Avant Daytona/Cognac - gone.
981 Cayman GTS Gray/Orange.

thanks guys

yeah it was just a trial bit too much to change to get them to fit, i have seen some 380mm porsche 2 piece disks with no bells, but could get some made up so all i have to do is shim the caliper out

Are there any Porsche disks that will fit relatively easy? There are loads of relatively cheap Porsche carbon brakes on ebay and I've been wondering how much work it would be to adapt them. I know the pcd is slitghly different but I'm wondering if they'd fit the B7 bells.
