I'll give it a whirl...
I'm after a matt finish so I guess there'll be no need to laquer it..

you need matte laquer, as it looks like crap after you sand it, it need s a bit of laquer just to build the layers up that you sanded away

not reeally done a gread deal recently as its too cold even with the heater on in the garage,

i did change the oil and pollen filter tho and change to yearly service from longlife.

boring pic but hey

Image

i also fitted my US plate recess to the front, was a total nightmare to cut the holes for the sensors but i managed it and fit snug. I cut the ends off the plate but still undecided on it really as i think it looks a bit like a buck tooth?

Image

i will take a better pic when its not wet and miserable,

a also added a small bit of carbon to the centre of the wheel, ive had i t on and off a few times now and although im not 100% happy with it I prefer it on

We're the service items from Audi themselves? What was the cost? Just seeing if there's a massive difference in doing it myself or sending in in somewhere!! Not bothered about the stamp, just want the best deal!!

They were from tps who supply to audi. All genuine parts. Think it was £90 all in. With a spare 1l for top ups in the car.

When I was deciding what to go for the guy there showed me the computer screen and it said the platinum and the edge were the recommended oils. Said they use the platinum on the r8 s all the time, when oil gets hot it thins, so starting with a thicker oil will be better as it's a high revving engine and gets quite hot on summer day blasts. 30 will be fine but will be thinner at optimum temp .

Made a tidy job of drilling the holes for the parking sensors, didn't realise you were planning on cutting the bottom section off too, looks good!

Now you need a US boot :)
