Why would you want to put in 10w60 unless you're doing some serious track/endurance work?
It will sap a fair bit of power and not give any useful advantage.
BMW use 10w60 in their m cars but the engine oil pathways are designed for the heavier oil.
To be honest, with modern oils grade is not as important as it once was. you can get a semi synth 10w40 and a fully synth 10w40 and they will perform completely different.
Titan fuchs pro s, silkolene are all good oils. Ideally a fully synth (a proper fully synth not a pretend one) ester based oil I find to be the best.

The grade is less important than ensuring it meets the required VAG spec as that covers grade, longevity, etc.

My 40k miles service is due this month, so looking at sourcing the oil myself to keep costs down.

Hi there Sonny i got it from camskill £38 for 5L it was the cheapest i could find, I've just done the oil change and took it for a spin it feels a lot smoother and it seams to have more of a kick at 5500 rpm
