SAT NAV Retro fit

Guys - need a bit of advice....going to retro fit SAT NAV (RNS-E), below are the options (this is from a guy I contacted a few months back - can't remember which company (EDIT "TCL SAT NAV") - he's called Craig Barnes, seems nice enough)
Symphony II to RNS-E is £599 fitted
6 CD changer, the B7 was a glovebox fit and officially it's a new glovebox. Although I have fitted 6 CD's into the standard glovebox with some trim around the changer.
6 CD in standard glovebox £150 fitted
6 CD in new glovebox £300 fitted
As for Ipod, well you have a few options.
1. Video Ipod interface based on the Alpine system, £ 399 fitted, allows playing of video and music onto RNS-E screen.
2. Standard Ipod interface with track information shown in the DIS, but lose the 6 CD changer option £179 fitted.
3. Keep the 6 CD and have a switching Ipod interface to allow use of Ipod and CD, no track information shown at £279 fitted.
Warranty is 12 months on all equipment and labour.
What do you think is the best setup nowadays for resale, what do people want?
Thanks - Tim

Personally I would go for an all Audi solution - RNS-E + Audi iPod interface in the glovebox in place of the 6 CD changer - these weren't an option on our cars but the CDC could be replaced with a gb iPod adapter on later Audis so all looks very OEM & noone really wants/needs CDs as have SD cards if not an iPod. Craig comes highly recommended so you are sure it will all work fit well - also have him add an Aux input to the RNS-E is just a bit of coding & a few pounds of wire then the non-iPod users can also plug devices in.

Craig is the best he fitted my alpine kit a couple of weeks ago along with video in motion and its great, top bloke and really helpfull, hope all goes well, i have sat nav RNSE with 6 disc changer in glove box and the alpine KCE425i kit with video in motion so i can watch films off my i phone 4 or i pod which is replacing the audi ipod kit i had originally, alpine kit worth every penny

Thanks guys - think I'll do the RNS-E with iPod interface + the aux input coding that MB2 spoke about, nobody does cd's anymore (tempted by the Alpine but want to stay stock) - Thanks again.

I had a pioneer unit fitted in my car but removed it for the new alpine series 9 it looks superb really oem plus has bt connection and ipod interface, would you not be better going for something along those lines Tim? i think it works out a little cheaper also for you

Thanks Danny but I've looked at your unit, it looks awesome, but if it's the INE-S900R then it's retailing at close to a grand.

I'm putting a Milltek on the car on Friday and that, with the health check, will be close to £2k - might stick to the cheaper option but thanks for the advice anyway, much appreciated (but will miss the phone bit)
