Well, car went to local Audi dealers (not the Audi dealer i purchased it from) to have the once over and they found the following problems:
Knackered DRC - New valves needed all round
Stuck exhaust flap - new exhaust needed
A control module for the a/c needs replacing
dealer forgot to plug in disc changer and aerial
parking sensors need replacing
This is supposed to be a dealer approved car with a multi point check sold to me just a week ago - what a joke!! More annoying I specifically asked about DRC before buying it and was told all was fine!
The local dealer is going to contact the dealer I got the car from to see what they want to do as the bill is going to be £4000+ to put right.
I've said i'm not prepared to return the car 200 miles to the dealer I got the car from, so either the local dealer will need to put it right or they can have the car back and i'll have my money back.

What a joke! Don't forget to name and shame the dealer!!

That is poor, but at least you seem to have a dealer now that is capable of checking the car out & should easily get it all sorted under warranty. Quite agree with not taking it back as apart from the inconvenience they obviously don't know much about the car.

Not being funny but did you not notice any of these items when you bought the car??

Did the suspension not knock??

Exhaust valve etc....

Parking sensors not working???

Or is it a case of your local dealer wanting some warranty work from Audi...

I will name and shame if this doesn't get put right ASAP, but I feel it's only fair to give them a chance to put it right.

I live in Cornwall and finding the right vehicle has not been easy (spent 6 months looking), hence buying it over a distance.
Car was collected indoors (higher ambient temp causes the DRC not to knock) and I also suspect the system had been freshly pressurised when i collected it. The DRC only started to knock the 2nd day I had it (after a 200 mile journey).
As for the sensors you don't generally check these until you get home - plus I wasn't familiar with the audi system as it has a manual override on the dash and wondered if I had it switched off.
Flaps - not sure your average punter would notice this, plus its only really noticeable on the outside when warming up in the morning.

Anyhoo these are all things you don't expect when buying a approved used vehicle from a main dealer (you certainly don't pay a premium for this level of service).

Approved Used car standards are measured by Audi UK

If they dont know, how on earth are they meant to give the dealers a kicking for being so <beep> !

Reading stories like this makes me wonder if this is the reason I almost had to agree to buy a car from Audi before they let me sit in it & makes me glad I walked out instead...

I had something the same, but i played the 30 day /1000mile guarantee. My bill was £3000. so i informed the Audi dealer to repair it FOC or come on an collect the car!! i had to drive 500 miles to collect it in the first place
