Just to say I Give my best wishes to them both and how great it is to see people enjoying themselves. It is also a great excuse to open the champagne and put the economic gloom behind us for one day let everyone raise a glass to the happy couple.

Hear, hear.
We have many things wrong with our country. But when it comes to pomp and ceremony, we are the envy of the world. Long may it stay that way. It was a fantastic, uplifting spectacle today.

Lovely to see the Aston Martin getting a special outing - even if Eamonn Holmes did call it an MG

Balls to them I say.
Why should I be picking up the bill for this nonsense - the secuirty, the organisation, the disruption? An archaic institution that has no place in today's world.
PS - The Mail and Express Websites have perfectly good forums for this sort of comment.....

In your dark room with the curtains closed, you must have missed the sheer volume of people that came out to see the event, and the massive amount of international press coverage. I think todays world seemed quite interested in the whole thing, and god knows it needs the distraction every once in a while.

They both have a day job,William is out every day saving lives and Harry if he could would be back at the sharp edge fighting for his country. They do cost us money but rather them than the people who steal our cars etc and end up in jail costing a fortune or the people who have no intention of ever working also their lives are very public if you think you could do the job Flumper you have my respect if not, let the billions of people who enjoyed yesterday over the whole world alone.

Must admit I wasn't planning on watching it, but ended up seeing most of it and it did give me a warm glow inside! Hope they have a lifetime of hapiness.

Surely the revenue generated from all the tourism, broadcasting, souvenirs etc will more than offset the cost of the wedding? Hopefully it will give the economy a kickstart.
