OK so can anyone summarise the top 3...
I need to make a descision on mon and am really struggling!!
I obviously want the cheapest set I can get but I dont want to put a budget tyre on an RS4...
These are my top 3 and am only leadning towards the vreds due to the cost
Vred (£170 corner)
Mich Ps2 (£260 corner)
GOodyear eagle f1s asymetric (£240 corner)
Are the Vreds, considered budget or should ie stick to what I know ie Michelin ps2s or replace the current bridgestones that are on my car
The other important thing for me is that the tyres have a nice curve around the edge of the rim and do not sit straight up if that makes sense

can you get the Michelin Pilot Super Sports yet?
very high wear rating
cost not crazy (good when tread life is factored in)
oem size 255/35/19 XL 96Y
Michelins do have a pretty square corner radius as opposed to say Conti's

Although I cannot comment on wear rate as it is early days, I am very impressed with the performance of the Vreds on mine. Did me proud on a recent Pistonheads run.

Love my Vred's. Good in the dry but I find the tread pattern in the wet/snow excellent.

My 6p worth...
Cheapest worth fitting = Vreds
Best = Michelin, I'm on PS2s but will be fitting the Pilot Super Sports when these need replacing.

I would say yes, and £1030 is a VERY good price for the Super Sports (are you 100% sure they're not PS2s or PS3s?)/

I have a second set of Vred's on. Just had my car in for service this week and after 12k miles on them I have 5.5mm on the front and 6mm on the rears to give you an idea or how well they are wearing and that includes running them all winter in the snow. The are good in the dry, not the best for ultimate grip/track work, but in the wet and snow nothing else I have tried compares.

I fitted Goodyear Eagle asymetric 2's. Phenonenal - great ride quality, low noise, incredible handing/steering and lovely, progressive grip. £204 fully fitted from Elite Tyres in Rainham.

I had the original pirellis on mine from new. Then replaced them with GY eagle assym. F1s...the obvious negative thing I noticed was how the edge was over the rim, not as flush as the pirellis.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what youre saying here, but the edge over the rim is a rim protector designed to minimise the risk of kerbing your rims?

Youre the first person I've seen with the new Asymmetric 2s. Ive had 2 sets of the Asym 1s on my last car and they are brilliant.
Glad to see they 2s are up there as well.
Be great when we start seeing some independent comparisons
