I call them asking to check if they had Goodyear F1

They confirm. I ask them to double check just in case. They say: don't worry.
Go there this morning at 10, leave the car for 1.5 hours.
Come back and the guy goes: sorry mate there was a mistake. The tyres were labeled as Goodyear but are continental. You will have to call on Monday...

So, I'll now have to wait another week to get my tyres (this time I'll go to a proper place and not to see these wankers) + wasted my morning.

That's it: they will NEVER see me again.
In the past I had problems with kwik fit, but gave them another chance and they once again confirmed they are useless amateurs.

Sorry for the rant but these guys are a joke!
They weren't even that apologetic

I understand they must have price promotions, as their service is appalling!!

I feel for you, my friend!

I had a puncture on a Sunday a couple of months ago and my local Kwik-Fit was the only place open. Reluctantly I went to them to get my puncture repaired. Later on that day as I walked out to my car I noticed some heavy metal parts behind my front nearside wheelarch (where the jacking point is supposed to be). I thought that Kwik-Fit had jacked up my car at the wrong point and bits of the car were now hanging out from underneath. I drove slowly back to Kwik-Fit and one of the 'technicians' looked underneath and scratched his head. He then went over to inspect all the jacks they had. One of the jacks was missing the top cup plate and rod. Yes, those parts were still attached to my car and had become wedged. If they had fallen off they would have done a fair amount of damage to my car or any vehicle following me.

Im always put off going to Kwik-<beep> by the amount of mong I see working in there. I drive past one on a regular basis, that place never ceases too amaze me. I think its being knocked down now to make way for hotel development for the Olympic games. :D

what amazes me is that not only they are incompetent (had faulty valves fitted in the past and never felt safe after they had worked on my car) but also rude and I am not going to accept that

I took my van to kwik <beep> for a replacement battery. They were polite and friendly though curiously, for some reason, they did not fill me with confidence.
You might say I should have checked at their premises but I waited until I got the van home before opening the bonnet to make sure I actually had a new lead acid battery.
When I opened the bonnet there was a socket set and case on top of the engine. That could easily have fallen in and damaged the fan or maybe jammed the steering.

I kept the socket set.

I went in to a Kwik <beep> in Glasgow with my old S2 coupe about 8 or 9 years ago for tyres. While it was in, the guy came over to me and said I had a problem with my catalytic converter that meant it would have to be replaced.
He went really f*cking quiet when I asked him which one.......

Had a Celica VVTi-L before and had it in with them for new tyres, the lad told me that the T-Belt needed to be done and mine was due cause the service book didnt say when it was changed. He said that they always go in these cars and that it would cost me a few grand to get the car back on the road if it goes. I asked him was he sure that it was a belt, he said yes, ''sure he was just under it''. I said strange cause the car comes with a timing chain not a belt, but if he could price it for me that would be great ;) . He walked out of the waiting room, came back 5min later and said sorry, one of the lads got it wrong.....

I took in some tyres to be fitted,

I over heard the manager say to one of the fitters.... "tell him if we mark his alloys then we arent paying for it, Its down to him to sort becuase it wont be our fault"

At which point i told the manager infront of a packed waiting room where to shove his tyre fitting equipment.

Needless to say i wont be going back!

Although ATS were not much better, I was told i needed two new tyres for the Range Rover which were 22". When asked if the machine could take a 22" wheel the manager said he didnt think so but they'd be able to tell once they took the old tyre off................... I then pointed out if the machine couldnt take 22" wheels then how exactly would they replace the tyre! He shrugged his shoulders and i told them to stop wasting my time!

Just think how many times they get away with shafting customers-people who don't know anything about cars. I too have had to use them in an emergency and as everyone states dreadful service and full of S**T!
