so apart from a tracker what does everyone have ? if anything?

steering lock, pitbull on passenger seat etc

on my cupra r i had revo mapped had the select plus controller that i could disable the ecu via the obd port this was a reasurance when we went out for the day.

We have relatively low car crime up this way (other than opportunist smash and grab) so I just have the factory alarm and immobiliser.

Was a bit more paranoid when I had the Cossie - fitted a Momo steering wheel and the Snap-Off hub adaptor, felt like a bit of a dick in the mornings getting into the car holding a steering wheel but I slept better at night!

If I was visiting Edinburgh or Glasgow I would either:
Disconnect and take with me the HT lead from the ignition coil to distributer.
Remove the ECU and stick it in a rucksack (Easily accessible from the passenger footwell)
Or disconnect a select few sensors from around the engine which wouldn't allow the car to start.

That way, if thieves did manage to bypass the alarm they'd still be convinced there was a secondary immobiliser putting a stop to their fun unless they had the time to start fault finding!

I've just fitted night vision CCTV at home and an IR floodlight, that looks directly at the drive and entrance to the cul-de-sac. You can set it up to text you or email you a snap-shot on motion detection and can access it and control pan and tilt etc from any computer or iPhone etc. Bloody good for £70!!!

IR Flood light right over it and also thinking about CCTV.

If they want it, they'll take it either way though.

Good price, where did you get it from?

I'd just let the buggers take it and hopefully keep it.....heard to much about thiefing scumbags threating families and all that. With two kids, they are more important than the car........so standard alarm/imob for me.

+1 and mine is kept out of site in a garage. But if they want it that badly they can have it - that is what insurance is for.

Having said that I have a trip wire hooked up to a pit full of crocodiles. Never fails

Stage1: Electric Fence
Stage 2: Flood lights and CCTV for youtube entertainment on the following.
Stage 3: Locked car in locked garage.
Stage 4: Motion and shock detection alarm to garage.
Stage 5: Air raid siren
Stage 6: Dogs
Stage 7: 12 bore with XREP tazer rounds.
Stage 8: Live Tracking
Stage 9: Eurocopter AS350 and a .50 cal Rangemaster Rifle.

Just sleep in the car with a hand gun by your side

Problem with trackers is they are not advertised so don't act as a deterrant

Just a small CCTV camera connected over the internet.

I've just put some Shell V-Power in my chainsaw.... runs really sweet (unsurprisingly).
Maybe I'll keep the chainsaw next to my keys.

Ps. I now have the fastest car in the street AND the fastest chainsaw
