lol, what I really meant was "every body buy quick" as this is quite a bargain, having said that most of you already have one, so I guess that just leaves me to pick up a bargain.
RE: Price Crash on auto trader
Id wait a bit..
couple of months you'll be able to get one for 50 quid!

It's funny, you can look around and see which cars really will be sub £300 pounds one day, for example insignias and mondeos around about ten years from now, but one car i'm confident will never stray into that category is the RS4.

RE: Price Crash on auto trader
I think the R32 forum have banned people talking about prices and I can see why with sensationalist posts like this from non-owners.
Prices will only go one way in the long run and have done very well so far. Considering how many people on this forum are recent new owners and that there must be a lot more who aren't on here, it seems sales are holding up well, for good cars at least.
Maybe the discounted ones are optimistically priced rough dogs that numerous people have viewed and rejected?
December is always the same, prices should stabilise next month.
So how many cars have actually dropped £2-3k? That's a bit of a weird thing to do for any car dealer planning to stay in business, were these private sellers? Some links would be good.
So how come you still haven't bought one? I'd be keeping this to myself if I was really in the market if they were such great bargains for fear of someone else beating me to them.

i've seen some proper dogs, and they were all priced not far from main dealer cars, trying to lull a customer away on the pretense of saving a grand or two.
things to consider.
tyres - 1000
brakes - 2000
warranty - 1600 quid
all should be ok from a main dealer and if they are not, lucky you, cos you can tell them to make sure they are done.
condition, paintwork? wheels? seats? all sortable via a dealer as part of your package.
only two places i would buy an rs4 and thats from a dealer, or off a fellow enthusiast with a documented car and an obvious appreciation of that he has.

Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
RE: Re: RE: Price Crash on auto trader
I think price is only 1 factor,it would seem that now condition is harder to get right, some recently listed cars on pistonheads even have worn passenger seat!!! So thats 2 grands worth of new leather if you want to return it to mint condition never mind all the usual other expensive bits that could well be due hence the seemingly cheap price

All prices drop this time of year, Christmas is a buyers market isnt it!
RS3 8P 2013 Phantom Black with Ally Pack and Black Optics Grille | LED Interior and number plate lights - GONE

To put it into context the dealer car with 16k miles is a Silver car. They just dont sell! Avus yes but not silver.
Had the car been Black, Daytonna or Sprint it would be 35k+
I can tell you that every decent car that I have had my eye on has sold.
Its actually a good time to sell because of the snow.
You can actually hear people cursing RWD BMWs as we speak.
The only cars that are dropping below 30K are high milers/owners and ones not up to scratch.

Very little drop in price for good cars. I have been following looking for one for at least 6 months. All the low price ones I wouldn't touch, most of them have a reason for being cheaper. The good cars have changed little in price.
I had an MkV R32 and it lost £7k in 6 months. Now that was painful.
