Out of interest are there any RS4 out there converted to LPG, is it even possible?

I don't do the miles to warrant doing it myself, but was just wondering if it has been done before?

I've seen a B6 S4 V8 LPG conversion but never an RS4 conversion. Don't know if FSI lends itself to it.

If you run a RS4 I do not think it is worth considering.

With FSI/GDI you still have to have petrol being injected (but only about 25% of the usual amount) to stop the injectors overheating (as they are actually in the cylinder and not in the inlet manifold like in the B6/B7 S4 which has indirect injection).

So the benefit isn't as great as you still burn petrol.

Also means you can't take your car through the Channel Tunnel.

+ the battery in the spare wheel well must make the usual tank location more tricky ?

Shouldn't have thought so because the B6 S4 came with a full size spare IIRC which takes up even more room.

Different people have different perceptions on this.
I've done about 13k miles since I got the car in May, so if there was a way of doing the conversion without losing power and without knackering the engine, I'd at least give it a thought.

Most LPG conversions fit the tank in the spare wheel well, so a B6 S4 with an LPG conversion has to either lose the spare wheel or carry is separately in the boot.

I'm seriously considering an LPG conversion on my C1, but even though the cost saving would be MUCH greater o the RS4 I can't/won't consider it as:
1) I have to be able to go through the Channel Tunnel.
2) It doesn't "feel" right.
3) The possible overheating of the (expensive) injectors worries me.
