2007 MY Cars and Brakes

Hello,

I've see a few ads now for 2007 facelift cars and the obvious difference being the clear front indicator lenses but were there any other changes?

Also does anyone know how long a set of disk and pads last? Front and rears under normal road use.

Thanks.

Silly one this but if it has a stereo rather than Nav, the knobs have silver highlights for 2007 :)

A quick scan parts catalogue ETKA reveals numerous running changes including a revised intake manifold towards the end of 2007 model year production.

1. Clear indicators
2. Chrome trim in square buttons that run across above nav unit
3. There's a 3rd difference which I only learnt recently on here but can't quite remember right now; a difference in the sat nav maybe? Hang on, its comin to me lol, 07 spec sat nav has traffic thingy? ( TMS or whatever )

TMC comes with the nav disk version, not as part of the RNS-E's features. And are you sure about the silver trim on the dash buttons as mine have that on the ESP button but not the RNS-E buttons and my car is a July '06.

P_G do you have orange or clear front indicators?
It's possible a mid 2006 registered car could be a 2007 model year as the model year starts in around May of the previous year.

Just to confuse you.... I've got orange indicators (which I quite like....) and chrome buttons.

ok, I didn't say chrome buttons apart from on radio (if no nav)!
To be sure the chassis number will reveal all, the number before the N at the end is model year.

Just check 2 earlier 06 MY cars and they don't have chrome on the switches :?

Not all 2007MY cars have clear indicators - mine is a 2007MY (according to the VIN) but it has amber indicators. Clear indicators was a running change introduced in about September 2006.

This was introduced in early 2006, so later 2006MY cars will also have the chrome trim.

As already said that's a feature of the nav DVD in use not the model year of the car.

Mine has silver leather, and a silver headlining - I got fed up of the usual Audi "Black Hole of Calcutta" look. I didn't realise it was that rare a choice?

did that cost extra of no-cost option?

Thanks for all the replies guys.

aka_dk - yes I know, not many around is there but hopefully the right one will come along eventually. If I haven't found one within the next 4-5 months I'll have to revise my wish list. TBH I'll consider Mugello and Phantom too.

PetrolDave - a rare and good choice. Think it's cos most went for the buckets which were black only unless you went the Exclusive route.

Neckarsulm - Thanks and I have seen that add. Tis very nice but no FBSW and it's a little out of my price range at the moment.

From what I understand the silver seats/headlining it was a no cost option.
