rs4 v8 twin turbo?

Hi everyone, its been a while since i was on here. I used to have a AMD RS6. It was making 512bhp but it was just to slow so had to go!
Anyway, im wanting a RS4 (always have) but again there to slow, the reason why im posting is to find out if anyone has fitted turbos to one?
I know MTM do a supercharger kit but im thinking of getting a RS4 and making it twin turbo like the Rs6. Is there room for the turbos? Has this been done?
Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend a bike instead.

I have seen the mtm before but 500ps just wont do it for me.
I want to be making at least 800bhp if i was going to return to a rs.

Been there and done that, i like being able to take more than one passenger with me tho.
I went from a more powerfull car to my RS6 and regreted it. The car was boring to be honest. Mainly down to the crappy paddle gearbox. I know 'griz' i think it was on here was trying to fit a manual Rs4 box in the RS6 when i sold mine which im sure would of been better for me. But my next issue is my current car makes 800 bhp and it is lighter than the Rs also so i dont think i could have another aude unless i can make it quick!
But anyway, has anyone twin turboed a 4 or not? is ther room for a couple of turbos?

If you want to do this to a B7, I think you're deep into uncharted territory. Suggest you give Doug a ring at MRC, but like aka_dk says, he's following the SC route for what must be logical reasons
The right people can take a B5 RS4 (or even S4) to well past 800bhp, but I don't think anyone has yet done it with a B7

I have a good team that can make me the manifolds etc to fit the turbos, the fueling side is easy and i know these chaps can map the car (using a different ecu that we will wire in)
I know for a fact i can make the power providing there is room for a set of turbos in the rs4 engine bay.
Is there anyone local to solihull that will allow me to take a tape measure to there car by any chance?

Comments like that do make me chuckle. Whats the big deal about peak bhp except to brag over a pint in the pub? I'd rather have 600bhp that was actually usable than a nice peak that resulted in too many compromises. But horses for courses and all that.
Anyway, the RS4 V8 really really doesn't lend itself to massive forced induction. You'd have to really strip the engine down as for a start the compression ratio is way too high - compared to a B6 S4 you're looking at 12.5:1 vs 11.0:1. 11:1 isn't great but a whole lot better to start with than 12.5.
Plumbing/heat issues aside 800 bhp turbo assuming at 8k rpm (thats a whole other airflow problem) is 525lb/ft torque. Given the way turbos work I'd be expecting a peak torque much lower in the rev range so probably nearer 600lb/ft - I'm really not sure the drivetrain would simply take another 200-300 lb/ft torque without any complaints.
In short, yes like most things given sufficient time and money sure it's possible but I don't think the car you'll end up with will be the car you think you'll get.

Or just a get a C6 RS6 and remap it....5 litres, 10 cylinders and 730hp straight away.
Or try this for size:

Thats a 10 second car...
Sounds like you need a Porsche or a GTR.

Solihull - try Birmingham Audi, Solihull/Shirley - look interested, take your tape measure and say your measuring up for your garage

Theres a 1200bhp twin turbo monaro but even on a relatively solid, lazy big displacement engine a reliable 800bhp isn't simple.
