Hi all,

Had my back bumper replaced a few weeks ago. Have noticed that there are two rubber stoppers on my bootlid, not sure if they were there before. I have attached a pic. Would appreciate if someone could verify whether the rubber stoppers are an OEM feature!?

Intresting....mine went in for a new boot strip under warranty....i swear there were rubber "bungs" on them thingeess you have shown in your pics...they have gone and mine look like yours now!!!

Thanks RS4Killa, you just confirmed what I suspected, I am taking this up with the repairer. Does anyone have a pic of what the boot edge should look like so I can show it to the repairer to make sure they get the message.

Anyone able to help? Off work tomorrow so hoping to bring the car into the garage tomorrow. Cant find any on the net

mine also looks the same as the photo,just a plastic lug with no rubber on it ,pretty sure thats how they should be

is this saloon or avant ?

can't recall seeing anything like this on the saloon.

Its a saloon. I would swear they weren't there before I dropped the car in to be fixed, first noticed two marks in the dust on top of the bumper after having the car back for a week.

just looked at mine, it has 2 black rubber 'O's (as your 'grey' bit) no pin sticking out like yours, mine's an early '06 car.

infact mine does not have that black bit of trim on the edge of the boot (what is it ?), so maybe some differences here, maybe some else can confirm?

Just took a quick photo. Mine is a '06 saloon. No long black rubber thingie, but has a wider rubber type round 'bung' thing.

Iv been racking my brains look at your pic, and I still can't make it out, can you take a pic of it showing the whole length of the boot please.

My boot does not look like yours. question, do you have the auto boot?
