drc/warranty help

Hi Guys I'd really appreciate some urgent advice here. My warranty expires on 15th July and I really don't fancy forking out a huge amount of money on the audi extended warranty on a car that's only done 27k
That said I'm really concerned about the drc/ leaking shox issue. I just spoke to Ipswich Audi seeking reassurance regarding the agreed 2 yr item specific warranty extension, only to be told that they know nothing about it and in fact advised that in every case outside the 3yrs/60k they had charged the customer.
Can Sims or one of the others who has been in touch with Audi Uk on this issue let me have a copy of the written confirmation of the agreement ? Without this I'd be pretty reluctant not to find a suitable warranty. Also could anyone that's just taken out a warranty with WD post premium and copy policy details on here ?
Thanks so much, Doug

The WD warranty seems comprehensive although I prefer the Audi one.
DRC is covered for 5 years/75k miles - Audi Customer Services 0800 699888 ought to be able to confirm that for you.

Doug, my car is >3 yrs old and has done 68k miles. I had 3 shocks replaced this week by Audi Hereford with no problems at all.

That's great, but does prove that some dealers are not up to speed on the DRC issue. Should you be getting the work done with these Dealers?

Doug
PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you the letter
Ipswich are talking bollocks, and owe people money...

Nope. That is dealer goodwill.

Mine had a "light misting" at last MOT 2000 miles ago so I'll just bide my time..

Doug I also have an interest in making sure Ipswich audi understands their responsibilties to us RS4 owners and will pop down tomorrow and speak to someone if I am given the wrong answer will speak to someone in much higher authority. Mack had issues with Ipswich and had his car sorted by Camberley audi I believe who are experianced in DRC changes and any other problem with RS4

How funny - that's my letter (and I don't just mean the wording - same date and blanks). Wondering how it got there?!

Thanks for all the replies and advice. I emailed Audi customer service as I really wanted something in writing and fair play they've come right back with a personalised version of the letter. It's just a shame that Ipswich Audi are so poor. I've been using them in their various forms since 1988 and was on first name terms with the Service Manager Paul Brown until he left a few years ago. Since then it's been all down hill - real shame.
Thanks again, Doug
