I received my insurance renewal notice today and the premium has increased by more than 30%.

I have made no changes or claims, it is because of the amount of claims they received during the winter.

Unbelievable!!!

Has anybody else found the same thing with theirs? Anyone recommend a goo insurer to get a quote from?

Tracker didn't make any difference.

I am with Privilege.

Last year I was paying £77 p/m, this year I am being quoted £103 p/m

On confused Privilege are still the cheapest for me.

I wouldn't mind but this is the first year I can say no to 'have you any convictions' or 'have you made any claims'.

Many insurance companies automatically load-up your premium as they work on the assumption that a percentage of people couldn't be bothered to shop around and end up just taking the automatic renewal.

Can't remember the last time i continued a policy for a second year, not this century anyway :)

I personally find moneysupermarket.com better than Confused.com if you want to try that djt?

Admiral where cheapest for me - funny thing was, seems its cheaper to keep the car on the driveway rather than in the garage. They stated this was due to the high accident rate of people putting cars in garages and also that cars are more likely to be damaged when sitting in garages! Strange but true.

Another strange quick is that if you add a"mature" female driver to the policy, the policy is often reduced.

For the first time ever, my insurance renewal price is cheaper than any quote I can get on-line or over the phone. In addition, I can't seem to get anyone to match the excess offered either. Yes, the premium has gone up by ~£30; but in reality the price is an absolute bargain (details below).

Company: More Than
Price: £409.08
Excess: £300
Windscreen XS: £75
Cover Type: Comprehensive with Business use for all drivers.
No Claims: Full & protected for life.
Extras: Legal Protection.

Another recommendation for More Than - I've gone back to them after a year away. Around £200 cheaper than anyone else.

I was with Adrian Flux for years. 4x4 import, fast import and was going to do RS4(B5) also. They used to be very good.
When you phoned them a person answered, now it's a computer that tries to implant things into your brain while keeping
you needlessly waiting.Just like all the others. My insurance went up a lot this year for no reason. I phoned and challenged, said they
couldn't do any better, but if I got a better quote to ring back and they would match it.

I'm sorry. They are the brokers. That's their job!

I found a place "2gether". It's almost unique, phone them and a person answers. No ads, No, "we will be recording this call to find
out how thick our staff are" and no sucking teeth when you say Remap, Import, 4x4 or Big brakes.

Saved me over £200 on 4x4 alone, and get this, it was the same company that Flux had me with and I am now fully comp. Flux said
this company would only do TPF&T.

2gether, cheapest for my 4x4, fast import and RS4. Talk to someone willing to use their head, not treat you like an alien for driving
something more than a standard Micra and no 10 minute life wasting blurb.

No brainer for me.
