What do you think of this sub £30k, low miles 1 owner Avant

No nav and the red leather is a question of taste but I've been waiting for them to drop below £30k and I quite like and its local (and I drove past it today but didn't stop..)
What do you guys think? Is Nav really that essential in the age of the £49 Tom Tom?
Also are there any other important options it may/may not have?

Thanks!

when 99% of them out there has nav, i think it is an issue...but it can be retro fitted easily enough for £700 as you'll need the double din conversion...use that to negotiate

This Avant has been for sale for a couple of months. For me it's the red leather and the nav which are the deal breakers. Body looks to have been detailed though. inside alloys look good as well. If it came down another grand you could probably justify it.

Seems fairly priced but you'll not get used to the red leather and not having the Nav will annoy. It's double DIN, as said above, so will be more expensive to fit. Hold on a month or two and you'll get a real nice one. (Mine didn't have Nav so it's 1 in a hundred! - Getting it retro fitted with tcl in 2 weeks...)

Good car for the money. Nav doesnt matter these days and the seats look good with the body colour. Its more interesting than your average RS4.

Spend a few £k more and get one with at least a decent interior thats gross in red and will seriously limit your market when selling,by the time youve made it right with nav and new seats you could just about drive another one away with no hassle,i suspect hes had very little interest at all with that spec he could be worth a serious punt to make it worthwhile,it would take the shine off it for me having to part with nearly 30k then start hunting for interiors and stripping the car,if you could get it nearer 25k then you could end up with a better proposition when sorted than a high miler

I agree with you completely about tom tom its better and easier to use than the audi nav,BUT the car inside looks so much more finished with the factory set up.

Thanks for the advice.
I don't mind the leather and if the rest of the car is perfect I could live with it.
Looking at the original brochure it was a £2800 option which seems to have taken that much of the cars resale price so really a £6k option!
I wouldn't buy a car and change the interior as I like the data sticker to match the spec of the car, if I didn't like it I wouldn't buy it.
Same with the Nav, yes it looks great but it doesn't take full postcodes so seems a bit useless and no TV function on most cars which was what made the feeble B5 RS4 Nav worth having - without it it's one less thing to go wrong
I'd like to see at least £1k off but seeing as the trade price guides were recently showing RS4s with similar mileage at this sort of money as being at "trade price" I suspect the dealer is getting rid at that price.
Haven't seen Tomson's ad but I am really only interested in a sub 40k miler for under £30k which according to Autotrader is just 2 cars

Nav's useful if you'll use it, and certainly nice to have on re-sale.
(I just bought an Avant without Nav... Will be using CoPilot on the iPhone till I retro-fit the RNS-E)
The postcode thing isn't an issue, it's just to narrow down the options, then input the street anyway.
I don't like the leather personally, and it certainly will affect the re-sale, but if you like it, it's gotta be one of the cheapest Avants around at that money....
Buy it!

Remember the Nav screen can also have a TV built into it (also digi), Bluetooth and and observe radio stations and look at track listings on the SD cards etc etc, it makes the car interior look better too imo, at the time of buying my RS4 I would not buy one with out, however knowing what I know now, I would get one retro fitted.
