Oil catch Can

I know that it's messy but I did it in a hurry to finish before the Euro raod trip to the Ring. The route and couplings for the pipes are to incorporate the original breather pipes, in case I need to revert back to the original breather system during the trip. If I can source some 30mm I/D black, single ply pvc hose then I'll re-do the pipework and it should look far neater. The 3 ply silicone is rather bulky!

So at 5600 miles, following a valve clean, I'll begin to monitor the catch-can contents. I know that opinion varies as to the cause of the carbon build-up, valve overlap being the most likely, but for my own peace of mind I've at least tried something. We'll see how it goes.........

Can fabricated from alloy by Stuart at AAS in Newcastle. Caps plundered from written off Audi cab in scrap yard! Struggling for O rings???

looks interesting
Y'ed both into a common hose to the can
common out of the can to the cyclone
???

this trip should be an 'acid test', lol
be real curious to see what accumulates

Yup - twisted backwards the cyclone inlet using the original breather pipes to feed the top of the can and fed new hose from can to cyclone. Simple stuff but let's see if it does anything worthwhile.
