Was followed home the other day by a dark blue 135i saloon. Anyone driven one of these? It was overtaking at the same places as me and there was nothing in it at all which I found quite surprising.

Aye. Amazingly quick chuckable cars. beefy brakes & of course the standard power of 300ps can be be chipped to near 400ps

The M version of the 1 series arrives next year I hope with 350ps standard & twin turbos.. The spiritual successor to the E30 M3.

The ugly duckling in the hatchback form, although the 130iLE looks decent.

BMW have decided to focus on the 2 door Coupe for it's upmarket versions.

& the NA V10 - that's why I reckon the E60 M5 & the M6 (500ps) will become more desirable than they are now at circa £30k. My issue with the cars is the Bangle design.

I am a big fan of the S8 too.

Even the E90/2 M3 is a great proposition - the last NA engine like the RS4, and in a way like a modern E39 M5 - a great classic.

The boy at the top of the road showed up the other day in one of the special edition white m3s with the black wheels. Very nice it is too But it doesn't really look like it's been "Bungled" tho. The M5 and M6 are actually growing on me and they don't look as weird as the new design philosophy from BM HQ recently. Truly hideous - almost like they've been to Korea for their design talent. I'd like to think you're right about the big n/a v8 /10 cars becoming classics, they ought to be IMHO. It's hard to argue with the performance available from a smaller cc force fed engine tho and that's before you look at cost, mpg etc etc.

Totally ! Unfortunately, not much of that interests marketing / accounts type people

Yep, driven remapped one and speed feeling was much better then rs4. It had 520 N.m and 360 BHP (dynoed)-seen little bit moded with 520/400 BHP. This car can hold with m3 e92 in stright line and this rs4 can't. Anyway turbos are little bit unreliable. (at least have this exp. with 335i E92).
So don't play with civil bmw 3.0 biturbo
