before the warrenty runs out....

Hi guys and gals,
2 days ago I dropped my girlfriend at her pals 4 miles away in my 07 plate RS4 (daytona grey + 19"rims), and on the return trip the oil light flashed on. When I arrived home I was gettin picked up straight away for a meeting, so didn't check the oil until the morning.
As I came out to check it first thing in the morning I noticed a huge puddle of oil from under my car. (not being able to see in the dark I didnt notice it when coming back that eve!)
I daren't turn it over, but rang Audi Norwich and the sent RAC out to have a look. The RAC chap was very helpful but couldnt see anything due to the covers over the parts. I was towed to Audi seeing 3 people I know on the way, with the obligatory 'not broken her have ya mate' jeers all the way!
This morning I recieved the info from Audi, turns out that the feeder and return pipes from and the the oil cooler had been rubbing together and one of them had burst, emptying itself. I am glad that I wasn't on a long drive, but I am even more glad that I have 2 months left on the warrenty!
The result is that they have replaced the whole oil cooler including all the hoses!! (I will find out cost later today but I assure you it wasn't cheap)
So if yours is coming out of warrenty please ask them to check these pipes, as they have modified mine so it cant happen again.
I have to commend Audi Norwich at this point, they took my car in at a minutes notice, and gave me a brand new shiny A4 to play with, excellent service.
Also luckily I dont have to pay for the oil and as its due for a service thats fine by me, service getting done as we speak sans cost of oil! Result!
