Noise coming from clutch pedal

Hi guys

Just wondered if anyone has suffered from a clicking noise when you push the clutch pedal down? I can feel a definate 'bump' in the pedal towards the bottom of the travel and an audible click type noise. I asked the stealer to look at this when the car was last serviced and they told me it was normal - I don't remember it doing that when it was new though. Warranty expires in June so want to get as many bits done before that !!

thanks

Hi David

Mine started doing that on Monday - its now stopped. I am hoping its nothing scary as i have just had a new clutch/fly wheel/master cylinder etc

weird...

I noticed mine started clicking last Saturday.......after 3 days at Audi having it's 2nd service and, subsequently, its front shocks replaced. I nearly took it back in to them but......

Can't say I noticed it today though...must be one of those things the mind picks up...or Audi adjusted it!!!

Hi,

Could it be the left foot rest rubbing on the clutch pedal? I had exactly this problem on my S4 - it sounds like something's about to break.
The metal "cage" supporting the foot rest bends and starts rubbing on the clutch pedal lever.

Does it stop if you place your foot under the clutch pedal and push left on the foot rest?

Just an idea.

Regards, Chris.

theres a small micro switch on the part the pedal presses onto and that causes the clicking feeling (at least on mine). Looks like a design flaw imho
