Hi all

After reading Evo this month and seeing their GTR wrapped by this company
http://www.carbonskin.co.uk/index.html

Was slightly considering having some bits of my RS4 done. Maybe grille and mirrors in carbon

Bit chav / boy racery or worth it?

what do you think?

Thinking much the same, CF for the roof plus rear spoiler (Avant), B pillars where the balck trim is, oil cooler splitter, boot lip trim and rear valance / exhaust surrounds. Not sure about the mirrors because I have silver trim, would look good if you had the optics pack or carbon wheels for example.

I would do the bonnett if I had Mugello, Daytona or Phantom but with Sprint that would be too chavvy or worse still, like I had gotten a spare bonnet from a scrappy!

There are some parts on the car I wish were CF, so wrapping them rather than trying to skin them with real CF makes sense. There is also the paint protection element and ease of cleaning element.

I bought Sprint Blue as it is my fav colour but in a year or so I am going to get it wrapped for a change.

I am thinking white with a carbon roof.

I will also get my wing mirrors and wheels done in titan. Will look the nuts IMO.

If you get the whole car wrapped and ever want to sell it on you will probably have to get it all removed. Most people wouldn't consider buying a car without being able to get the wrapper off and seeing whats underneath; can hide a mulitude of sins!!

I can understand that but they are very easy to remove.

If you go on detailing world there is a company on there that offer you a crbon wrap that has the texture of carbon aswell, imo it would look crap without the texture

Laquered carbon is smooth to the touch, no texture.

I would do that of course, however as mine is a keeper then a change of colour just freshens it up and hopefully gives me pristine paintwork some longevity from the obligatory stone chips.

When you say West Yorks do you mean Leeds? How far is it from city centre? Have an office there. ideal would be to drop it off, work in Leeds office for the day and then pick it up to go home in.
