I'm sure there are many ex owners of these FABULOUS cars who keep in touch with this forum.

How many of you now regret your decision, and wish you'd never sold and what is it you miss the most apart from the fabulous looks, build quality, comfort, engine, exhaust noise, acceleration, not wanting to rub it in, honest ?

When we had the snow and I was trying to get my C63 AMG up a VERY slight incline to my road most certainly YES!!! I still have massive respect for the RS4 and if I could afford to keep mine and buy an RS4 for the girlfriend I would - Just can't afford both though so I will be sticking with the AMG for a while yet.

You took and C63 out in the snow - you're brave.

I don't actually regret selling because 'regret' implies there was a choice which I didn't have. Had I had a choice then I would still have been driving around in my cab. I just loved that car.

Thanks mate, anything would be better than 2009, I'm upbeat though. I'm not going to let things get me down - got to stay positive.

I quite often pop in here to see what's going on and try to keep up to date.

The C63 was a fantastic sounding car. Just like a Messerschmitt! Much better than the RS4...but then it does displace 6.2L...

Must have an uber light flywheel because there is virtually no inertia when you blip the throttle.

In addition, whilst it gives the impression of being a smaller car, there is more legroom in the rear than an RS4 with buckets. Perhaps its at the expense of boot space?

The extra performance, particularly the torque, comes into its own once the car is moving...I'd hazard a guess it is quite a bit quicker piling on the speed above 100...

However, on the day in question it was quite possible to get the TC light flickering at virtually any speed with nothing more than a moderate stab of throttle...

I thought the gearbox was good but failed to appreciate at the time that if you drop it into full manual "M" mode, the shifts are twice as fast as they are in auto "S" mode. I'd like to drive one again and see what the gearbox is like when really hustling.

The salesman didn't really have a clue....

I am actually looking for a more involving drive than the RS4 and there is no question the C63 would be that.

In terms of getting from A to B through mid-Wales it'd be harder drive to cover the ground at the same speed as the RS4 because its harder to get the power down. And in the wet, no contest I'd imagine unless you were Walter Rorhl in the Merc.

But, I can't help wondering whether this is a car whose potential for fun you can only really unlock on a track? I'm all for having fun, but drifting a £45K car on a public road is probably a recipe for disaster in my opinion...

If its "dragging" on the motorway that is the extent of your fun, then the car is no doubt quicker than the RS4 (with potential to be much quicker - I think Darryl is running 500+ in his?), but then so are quite a few cars...

We all know what Doug can make a B5 S4 do with some mods, so I'm definitely still inclining towards a MRC'ed B5 S4 with ~550hp.

The GTR is a must one day, but I still think we're in the learning period with that car so I'm happy for pippyrips to take the risk and let me know...



I believe beers are on tonight with him and chemical_ali as he's taken delivery of the V8 M3 so we'll be trying to steal the keys and go for a blast in that when he's not looking...

Yes, the RS4 certainty leaves a lump in your throat when you have to say goodbye. I'm now in a Jag XFR, and I'm very pleased with the relaxed way it moves around, and astonishingly quick mid range grunt, but I'll be definitely moving back to the next RS4.

Just got an M3 saloon with paddle-shift and adjustable dampers. In answer to the question - no.

I dont think its hugely superior in any way, but I cant think of anything I am missing. The steering is more responsive, the brakes more progressive and the control centre makes you feel you have more control over the car. And the gearbox is superb. I would not go back to a manual.

The RS4 is a great motor and I appreciate having had one. I went for an M3 as I wanted a new RS4 and they didn't make a new one. I think Audi need to rethink this senseless RS policy of one RS at a time. No one else does it and they are loosing customers - me being one.

But roll on the RS5!!!!

Hi. I miss the usual good points but do not miss the DRC and clutch problems one single bit!

I definatley miss mine more than any car I have ever owned, and I have had some nice ones. May be that I havnt replaced it with anything yet tho.....
