I know miltek and supersprint do full exhausts for the B7 RS4 but for real gains surley a set of performance Headers / downpipes is where its at???

Does anyone have any info on a company that does this. Id rather keep a stock exhaust and have the downpipes done.

THANKS

Steve

Hmmmmm, well you are on the right track but to be honest having had my manifold off its a pretty well designed bit of kit and there isn't much if any room for improvemnet to be had from it. What will help is pollishing and porting both the inlet and outlet manifolds and using a bit of old traditional methods to get the best airflow possible both in and out of the engine.

Kooks in the US made a set of custom heaqders for a guy and it sounds pretty brutal if I'm honest

Headers and Exhaust manifolds are where it is at but I haven't found a company apart from AAS in Newcastle the would tackle the latter an no one to do the former. But AAS haven't done one yet and the first person would bear the brunt of R&D costs. However that said, estimates on power increase on a N/A engine (based on what I was told about my B6 S4) is 40 bhp on exhaust manifold alone.

But it is an engine out job and v. pricey to do; I suspect doing all the other bits first Like exhaust, cats, remap, downpipes, air filter and shedding some weight off the car would be easier.

I know a guy that does custom work and would be willing to make headers for our cars . But just making a single set of headers makes the price appalling .
How many people would be interested ?
I`m willing to leave my car at his shop for about 2-3 weeks until he can make 4-5 header pairs and ship them out to whoever wants them.
Tell me if you guys are interested , if there`s 4-5 people then I think production price is going to drop by quite a bit.

rAudiguy, ive seen it the other day tbh and it sounds mental. Its really what got me thinking. A friend of mine has some headers done for his 335i and got 40bhp gain.

PG for me id like headers plus remap. However if i cant then the standard options will be explored.

duud40 im interested so count me in.

The interesting bit on that video for me is how the guy at the end says it drones. The exhaust drone can be bad enough, I wouldn't want to add to it.
