After just over 2 years of RS4 ownership in which I’ve loved every second, I’ve found myself thinking it might be time for a change.

I’m not too sure what I want to go to next or whether I'll even go through with selling up but thought I would see if there is any interest in my beloved old girl and let fate decide :?

Considerable spec of the car is as follows:

2006 (56) Phantom black saloon
23k with Full Audi/MRC service history
Black silk nappa Leather
Heated bucket seats
Front centre armrest
Flat bottomed RS4 steering wheel
Carbon fibre interior trim
Solar sunroof
RNS-E with satellite navigation
SDS voice recognition
Factory 6 CD Multichanger
Bose sound upgrade
Climate Control
Factory fitted Electric rear blind
Factory fitted Rear window blinds
ISOFIX rear seats
Cruise control
Power assisted steering
Remote Central Locking
Parking distance control
Electric heated door mirrors
ABS
Electronic Stability Program
Xenon Headlamps with Adaptive Headlighting
Clear front indicator lens
Front fog lights
Ported, polished & cleaned inlet manifold
Milltek straight through non res/non valved exhaust system
Custom MRC remap
H&R anti rollbars

The car is in A1 condition - If anyone’s interested drop me a pm :)

What's prompted the thought of changing Rob? I imagine the sums of money you have spent on it and having a young family would be a contributing factor?

That would be one hell of a car for someone to buy if you did let it go.

I'm not too sure, might be something in the water! I'm in no rush to sell and still might not, the problem will be finding something to replace her with. I've just started to get 'the itch'!

Don't do it Rob! You got one of the best examples out there.

I know that itch & my scratching has started. Hoping that replacing the other halfs MX-5 with a Q5 will quell for a while. Agree, what t replace with? Still got the RS6 Saloon in the back of my mind, an R8 (the Q5 means i don't still need rear seats), even the GTR is likely to get a look in.

Hi Rob, apologies if I missed it but did Doug and MRC reach any conclusions with your car and finalising some sort of modification for the coking up?

rob, you have done a fair bit to it, and led the way with the janking up inlet manifold... it would be sad to see you go, and what do you move to next?? is anything a better all rounder than the rs ??

Rob, I've had similar thoughts but I honestly couldn't think of anything else out there to switch to. I still look forward to driving it every time and considering the additional money I've put into it I've come to my senses and am happy to keep it.

Mine is up for sale but if no one gives me a fair price for it I will be glad to keep it even though the GTR arrives next month, I love the sound of the RS especially with the Milltek exhaust so hopefully I may still get to keep her :)

Rob, does that mean you won't be bothering to open the inlet
manifold back up at MRC?

Thanks for the comments guys.

The car went back to MRC for a check last week. The good news is their fix had reduced build up but not completely. The guys are looking to refine their solution so i'll continue to work with them on it assuming i keep the car.

I managed to get some pics today:

Hopefully you can see from the pics there are absolutely no digs/dents etc on any panel, all 4 tyres have at least 5/6mm on and there is LOTS of life left in the brakes ( I had new pads fitted around 3k ago) She also passed her her first MOT last Thursday!

This car really is in A1 condition and needs no work/servicing etc for the forseeable future.

Also for those who are unfamiliar with what MRC have achieved with this car see here :) :

This car is now one of the of the strongest/best examples out there at the moment (IMHO of course ;)) and sounds the absolute muts nuts 8)

All pm's now replied to - if anyone else is interested let me know :)
