HOW MANY MILES to Zero before you refuel your RS4???

Just wondering, how empty do you guys run your RS4 before a refuel?

The other day it said there were 10 miles left to zero (done 240 miles on that tank in town mainly), but at the pump I could only put in 57 litres (63 litre tank). At the moment it says 25 miles to go (done 290 miles on current tank mainly in town again)....

will refill probably tomorrow and see how much I can squeeze in.

I usually fill up next time I pass the petrol station once the warning light has come on as firstly it's not good to run on empty and secondly, it's not worth the risk.

That said I have gone around 10 miles past 0 miles once.

I fill up as soon as I can find a Tesco station as their Super Unleaded is 99 Octane as appose to others being 97 (normal unleaded 95)

Depends on my journey. I have run the car up to 25 miles after DIS has gone to zero. I know some say it is not good to do that but sometimes it is also good to get rid of some of the crud that sits in the bottom of your petrol tank. Usually I run it to within 10-20 miles od DIS '0' as it is apparent the RS had a 1 gallon reserve. Max. I have got into the tank is 68 litres.

I ran out once before - did about 4 miles on zero. I had no cash on me and was aware Id no fuel either.

My mates have (and still do) remind me of the day - needless to say Ive never doen it again since.

I drive past a Shell station on my way to and from work (4mile commute) so usually I'll fill up when I get to about 10miles just in case. I'll also fill up on my way back home on a Friday as it's unlikely I'll pass a decent petrol station at the weekend...

7 miles on 0 and had about 2 litres left in tank when refilled.
