Sat 18th April rolling road day Paramount Slough my car made 338bhp! bit disappionting but at least mine was not the worst, got home that afternoon & checked air box flap, found air filter very dirty & flap a bit sticky, as car had not been serviced for 12000 miles [but not due yet as on long schedule] i booked car in with Camberley Audi for full service, also as still under approved used warranty they could have a good look over & investigate low power? 15th May car serviced new air filter, spark plugs & oil & filter etc £1190!! inc 2 new rear tyres & brake fluid change, but no problems found ref low power! Today 30th May power run at Paramount to re check power 307bhp!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i shall be ringing Rob at Camberley on Monday! hope i get better service than Mac has experienced at Ipswich? i shall let you know how i get on. i am at a bit of a dilema now as i was just about to renew warranty at £1200 or shall i trade in for new Focus RS? tempted.

Sorry to hear the bad news fella, the Guys at Camberley are a good bunch (rarity). I hope you get it sorted, have you checked all vacuum hoses? esp around the exhaust area, seems to be a common fault these days.

If you mean hoses at back flaps? yes they are ok, checked them the other day, funny thing is car does not feel any different!

Hmmm yes, strange mate, you hooked it up to VAGCOM? have you tried a different rolling road or harmonized the RR with another known healthy RS4, just a elimination process.

Hi Tim,
sorry to hear that, I'm sure Camberley will sort it out though. Also remember it was very hot today compared to April so you were never going to get amazing numbers due to the heat.
Where are you in the UK? Tim maybe you could pop over to me and we can hook up VAGcom and do some runs etc see how the car runs? I have perfect dead quiet straight near me which is ideal for runs. I think you have my number but if not PM me mate.
regards
Jim

I was just going to say it wasn't 26 degrees in April!
Where in the order did you run on the 18th? Heaksoak will also affect results as will all the other variables between the two days.

Was on the rollers by 09:30 so not hottest part of the day, but was hoping for at least 350 or a small gain not a loss! Camberley said they did all the checks VAGcom etc? so a bit confused, by the way i am in Bordon Hampshire not a million miles away, i will get in contact if have no joy at Camberley. thanks for the offer.

If you're that close it's worth coming over and doing a few runs to see your 0-60, 0-100 and 1/4 mile times if they are well down you have a good case to take up with Camberley and I can print off all info for you including airflow etc.

I think Tim was squeezed in right at the end of the day IIRC?

Doesn't this mean the block would have been hot, offsetting (in part or full) the increased ambient temp today?

I'm sorry if I sound like you!
ya think the dyno might be 'off'?!
he lost 10% more of his power AFTER a tune up!
and the dealer found no faults...
on a car that was already, supposedly ~20% (76 HP) below rating...
his car rated at 414 HP is now making ~300 crank...>100 HP low, >25%...
and you 'think' the dyno might be inaccurate?
DRIVE the car, don't worry/obsess over the car...
my gawd...
people that had low power on the dyno have timed their cars, and they are making ~rated HP, according to the speeds/times...
