this is a problem with e46 M3, and after repair it must set to let the materials cure...
never heard it about the RS4, or any Audi
in the States they send letters, they don't call

Mine went in last week for it. The tool required for the fix is expensive, so my local dealers (York and Hull) are sharing it. They try to get all the cars in to look at during the same week.

Had mine done also, a couple of weeks ago at Camberley Audi, all they do is use a special type siliconce gun to apply a bonding agent around the battery tray! i am glad i did not have to pay for it as it looks like a five year old applied it!! & yes they need the car to stand for 12 hours after application, & evidentley mine did have a small crack in boot floor!

I tried to look at mine to see if I noticed a crack and saw nothing. Is the crack or work that needs to be done well didden, i.e. behind the battery or to the sides/front?

ive just checked my boot and there doesnt seem to have been any work done

the car was only with them for 3 hours so maybe they plan to do it this week when it goes back to them for new pads & disks ..i shall enqure ...getting bloody sick of seeing them ...having owned my rs4 only 12 weeks ive allready had to go back to the dealers 5 times for different issues ..my wifes new tts has been in twice already and booked in for its next visit to have the foof sensors fixed for the second time ..good job i like the coffee ... owned a jag for 6 years clocking up 60,000 with only servicing needed ...never got to find out what their coffee was like
