KW V3 Settings

Hi Folks,

Finally ran into the dreaded DRC issue after 1 year of owning the car. Felt that the car wallowed strangely going into corners and true enough the front absorbers were both leaking upon checking by the dealership. Was quoted something like USD 2,650 to replace all 4 absorbers!!! Being a grey import, mine had no warranty.

KW just offered USD 2,450 for the full coilover replacement. Being way cheaper than the DRC repair, have decided to go down this route. 3 questions that I need help on from the more experienced fellas here:

1) What is the setting for the V3's that would get me almost similar ride balance as the original DRC? Or other optimal settings with balance of comfort and handling?

2) How big an impact would the addition of the H&R sway bars make to the ride? Would the ride suffer without it running KW?

3) For those that went with the H&R, did you change the whole front and rear or only rear?

Thanks in advance for the advice! :D

Iv been toying with the idea my self, just been getting a few prices qouted (KWv3 have gone up due to the Euro) asking your original queston, I believe the best optimum settng is 6, however I have not used them so cant comment, only going by what was told to me..

Are you in the UK or states btw?

Hi Folks,

No other feedback from KW users?

sonny,

I'm actually in M'sia. Using USD for ease of conversion. I think KW is the way to go, just do not wish to have to keep dismantling it to get the adjustment right.

Hello, just go for the manufacturer settings, the car riddes perfect for a every day use, just the right compromise between comfort and handling. You need a stiffer sway bar :-) Marc
