Tracking down a RS4

Hello all, long time reader, first time poster etc... Great website with a bunch of great info on it, certainly got me up to speed on purchasing a RS4 so thanks to all of you who've added..
I'm looking for a low mileage 07 plate RS4 but there doesn't seem to be much on audi's website, pistonheads or autotrader. I'm not sure what the norm is, would it be possible I'll search for a few months to track one down?
I think I'm leaning towards an audi dealership as the price difference between private and audi doesn't seem to be big enough to go private but the same old cars see to be going around, I guess I'm mindful there are a few people out there like me looking for a good version of one and soon as it comes up we'll all pounce. I just assumed there would be more availability..
Thoughts appreciated.

Brookie, what did you have the new clutch and flywheel for, and I paid 11k less than that for my 07 plate avant with 29,000 miles. Just shows how prices have firmed up recently - like Ive been saying

had it changed under warranty as there was a bit of judder, yes myn is a 57 plate, with 13k on, 30k on a rs4 is classed as high miles.
ye dealers offered £35750 to buy outright ! do it is worth it

£11,000 in my pocket or an extra 16,000 miles(albeit yours is a 57 plate), let me see tough one there - ha ha, only joking, but its a good thing prices have held up again recently, everything just got too cheap, and I purchased at the right time - rock bottom

If 30K is classed as high mileage on an RS4 I'm fooked at 45k!
Better drive it into the ground then!

What I have noticed is a late 07 which is half the age of any early 06 is barely any different in price, mileage/spec being equal which considering 06s will be coming out of warranty soon if not already while an Aug 07 has 17 months left could be quite important..

I'm in the trade, and mileage isn't a problem, as long as its priced accordinlgy, it will sell. In my view, cars are to be driven and not looked at - better for them as well.

Soon find out, mine will be one of the highest mileage on the rolling road on April 18th, I imagine the power will be pretty much spot on of the lower mileage cars.

I'm on 33k now, so I'm not far behind. Funnily enough, talking mileages, if you look at RS4's for sale at the moment there are a lot of these 'high mileage cars' suddenly cropping up, starting from £28k! In fact pretty much every car under £30k has done 30k miles or more

I'm happy to pay for the honour of owning a low mileage version, it's the tracking down which is the issue.
On a search of RS4's on pistonheads the ones above don't appear on my search, odd..

Any more than 10k miles per year is defined as high mileage. Since first B7 RS4 deliveries were about 3 years ago that makes any car over 30k "high mileage".
I've done 29k since July 2006, so mine is "high mileage" too.

I always thought it was 12k miles p.a.? I'm definitely fooked then.
