I'm planning on remapping my ECU and part of the process entails disconnecting the battery. Unfortunately I don't have my radio PIN. The manual says that in some models it shouldn't be a problem if the unit is still in the same car so therefore it can learn w/c putting back the PIN. Is this right?
Thanks folks
Do I need my radio PIN if I disconnect te battery for B7 RS4

That's correct. You only need the pin if the RSN-E unit is out of the car or disconnected from wiring loom. I found this out when I was doing the video-in-motion hack.

When I added the Bluetooth module, I disconnect the RSN-E and it did not need a pin when reconnected.

You do not need the pin to reconnect it even if you completely take it out of the car! it's coded to the car so knows it is the right unit for the car.

You don't need the PIN unless you do something like the VIM hack which "messes up" the non-volatile memory in the RNS-E.
