Hi all,

Need some help. Rear pads/discs and front pads and discs need replacing. Considering doinf myself. Cant find the article in forum that has step by step guid to DIY brake replacement. My question is is it easy and where can I source the parts. Can has done 55K and on second set of discs and pads. I had the original problem of damage to the discs from the pins and was able to get first set changed under warrenty. I have the same problem again so would like to do the change myself. Look forward to the advice
Mark

Sorry for the above spelling guys. Only had 2 mins to write message between consults. I would be very grateful for details on how to change front and rear pads and discs.

I can probably extract the relevant bits from the Audi official e-manual.

Fronts are definitely easy. Both discs and pads. Rears look it too, with one exception that I THINK you may need to unhook handbrake cable, which is more about being different than hard.

Might not be until end of week that i get time to look in ElsaWin. PM me to remind me if you like.

I was just wondering if you've used your car on the track much as you appear to be experienceing very high brake wear. I have done 38k on the original pads, and I generally don't hang around.. (having said that the disks are about ready to be replaced now)

I certainly don't hang around, but as yet have not had a chance to put the car on the track. First set of pads and discs changed at 22K (discs due to scoring) and now car hit 55K new pads and discs all round.
