Hi Guys

Has anyone had front discs and pads replaced under warranty for brake judder? I have 23,000miles on the clock and the car is 2 years old. The dealer is telling me he cannot get them under warranty due to the mileage.
He has gouted £1100 to replace...
:?

I had them replaced under warranty for the judder, but that was at 9k.

You might be hard pushed to get them to pay for them all at 23k, I imagine they are near shot anyway arent they?

I would be really surprised if a dealer would be able to persuade Audi UK to cough ... best thing is go to APS and or fit then yourself .. VieeDee .. has being doing deals on the parts.

I've had a price for my S3 pads and discs all round, and they are quite a fair bit cheaper than Vag Parts, and definately cheaper than Audi!

Had mine replaced under warranty at 20K miles albeit I bough the car used at 16k miles.

Were replaced IIRC under the Audi RS warranty charter that said something along the lines that disk if warped of prone to judder would be replaced under if the car was under 30,000 miles and in first two years of ownership.

Just had them replaced again under goodwill but had to make a strong issue for it, only disks this time (front and rear), disks and pads (front only) last time.

I had front disks replaced at 25K under warranty (Slough Audi). I had only owned the car for 2 months so that may of played a part in their decision to change.

Funny thing though, they replaced all the parts but the problem did not initially go away. I have just had all four tyres changed and the juddering has come back!!!!. I am going to have 4 wheel aligment done ASAP and reduce the pressure in the tyres to see if that makes a diffrence.

Good luck with the dealership - I would be persistent with them.

Thanks Guys

It looks like 20,000 miles for front discs is about average. I will have to wait till the new year and then replace.

Thanks again.
