Unbelievable! I was going through the codes on my car prior to selling an one of the codes came up SS+ suspension - gotta be a mistake right?. Sure enough, on checking with the dealer, it indeed has the sport suspension fitted from the factory.
I bought the car from the dealer with 1000miles on the clock, but no-one mentioned anything about sport suspension although I always thought it looked lower than other RS4's I saw on the road. Mine was the only RS4 I test drove so didn't have anything to compare it to.

Oh well; 1 years ownership coming to an end and I didn't know I was running a track suspension set-up. Ho ho.

Out of interest, what was the code for the SS+ ?

Was it 2MC ?

Always thought our Avant was very low. Couldn't see how SS+ could be any lower.

Our car was a dealer car and undersold it: ie they didn't mention it had adaptive lights and a couple of other extras. Just wondering if they "forgot" to mention SS+ as well..........

According to this Audi option de-coder, they're both SS suspension codes.

2MC is the standard RS4 "sports" suspension, 2ME is sports suspension plus or super sports suspension.

Where is the codes sticker on the car? Seen it but forgot where?

Gonna check if i've got it, but i'm not a lucky person so i know mine will be standard as expected.

Also, as both say Variable Shock Absorbtion, does this refer to DRC or are the shocks adjustable in other ways?

Check inside the front cover of your service book, or usually in the boot, near the spare wheel well.
