Just double making sure I get it right, basically all I do is remove the black pipes and plug them ? Nothing more ?

Basically, yes
You should also close the open metal tube that's left when you pull the pipes off - either with a substitute closed bit of hose (if you're feeling hi-tec) or a foot of insulating tape (if you're like me) - doesn't need to be air-tight or anything, just a bit of weather proofing...
Couple of cable ties are also handy to keep the pipes from flapping about

Yup me too - found a great thread on here. In the end I did a fairly neat job, blocking the black tubes with a screw and a crimped mini-clamp in each case, that I got from Halfords for about 1.99 .

If you use a mini clamp on the hoses anyway, would you really need to disconnect them from the open metal tube section? Just clamp the hoses until airtight?

The better way is to disconnect the pipe from the green connector at the opposite end to the actuator, this leaves absolutly no signs of tampering once put back on.
I found this little gem out the day after i did mine

Absolutely and it's much easier to pull the pipes apart at this junction than pulling the black pipe off the valve part!
