Hi guys a mate of mine who drives and M3 E46 is taking the P*SS out of me for buying a 4 door saloon! or old mans car as he puts it. Claiming it should be a 2 door! Utter rubbish was my view on this but out of interested I wondered how old the avarage RS4 driver was?

Oh Christ Jim !!

You've opened up a can of worms now !! M3 turkey versus RS4 old boys car???
I expect Ol Rusky will pop in a mo with his 2p's worth of nowt
I think we should let the burds decide??? Surely your as young as you feel?? Surely they would prefer a firm, comfortable rumbling "ride" that goes the distance with a bit of experience behind the wheel rather than a spotty nosed, baseball cap wearing pup trying to impress her with how many donuts he can do in his beamer or how many e's he can sell to the chavs in the massive!!
Oh I'm mid 30's by the way and have been for a while now

Definately a low performance, german built, old-mans-car.

Does your mate drive a Vauxhall Viva?

37.
I'd say the M3 would attract a slightly lower age band than the B7 RS4 & in the main that's down to price/budget. You can pick up a previous model M3 for under £20K, but B7 RS4's are still upwards of £40K so most yooooths can't afford them yet.

Oh dear, now I'm going to spoil everything - I can see all the fashion guru's on here will be selling their RS4's on flea bay when I say that I'm 58 because they won't want to be associated with grumpy old gits.
Mind you, mine is a two door
