Just wanted to say 'Hi' to everyone here. I have just picked up my RS4 Avant on Friday, what a car, Audi number 3 but nothing like the others!

Just one question (to start with!!) Is there a good iPod interface for the MMI system that allows control of the iPod through the main system without loosing the cd changer?

Thanks

Si

Short answer is no. Been down that road myself. Get used to formatting and filling up SD cards!! Actually, I think the sound quality is bettter with the SD than the ipod interface (had this on my previous Audi) so long as you keep the bit rate above 160kbps. Not bad at all.

Thanks for that. Do the SD Cards work ok with normal mp3's from iTunes? I also have the software to make playlist/albums/folders, can the Audi system read this all ok?

Thanks

Hi Alex

Thank you and no pics yet been to busy driving used a tank of fuel already!! Will clean it this week (wheels dirty and lots of flies!!) and take some pics! Did take one of the engine on my phone though, what a car!

I have come out of a V10 Touareg a car i loved and this is probably the biggest grin factor car i have ever driven, especially with the windows open in a multistory car park!! What a noise!

Yes to both questions, disable the exhaust valves for an even better car park experience!!

Hi pippyrips

I have just been reading about that on here - that is taking the vacuum pipes off the 2 exhaust to keep the baffles open. Is it really worth doing and how will it effect any warranty issues?
