Nurburgring + RS4

Post by hertfordshire1 » Wed May 02, 2007 8:24 am

I'm taking my RS4 over to the ring at the end of May, as my normal vesel for the trip (e34 M5) is being run in after an engine rebuild....

Any advice from anyone who has taken there RS there already and is anyone else planning on making the trip that weekend?

I have tooked my RS4 to Bahrain International Cercuit , My perilli was replace with michelen pilot sport , it was much better than the old one

My advice is " Be care of your tyres " becuse as you know the RS4 is a have car and it's understeering too much .

Have fun

Agreed. One day at Castle Combe has just about finished my nearside front (at 4.5k miles). Well actually, it's now the offside rear...

gents, my pirelli's are all pretty much about to be replaced anyway.
so the plan is, go there drive hard for 3 days, come home and throw them away and get some ps2 fitted...

i'm hoping brakes will be ok though??

Sounds like a decent idea given you're about to change your tyres.

Brakes-wise, have you checked your pad thickness? Make sure there's plenty of meat on them. 3 days of Nurburging driving will be harsh on the brakes depending on your driving style. I would take spare pads along.

Sure if your tyres is ok so no need for replacing it

regarding the brakes , i have started the track day with new brake pads , next day i have tooked my car to the dealer to check the brakes and they said you have only 30% , that means 70% was burned in one day !!!!

So , also be care of your brakes :)
