Remap + exhaust options

Post by gw007 » Thu Mar 08, 2007 3:09 pm

I have been reading with interest the various remap and Milltek/Magnaflow exhaust options and I am interested in doing this, but have a few questions...

1) As I have Audi financed my current RS4, would I be able to get a remap + new exhaust or would the finance company have anything to say about this? (assuming they were to find out)... please no comments about how I could have got better finance elsewhere, etc, etc.

2) Warranty, same thing really how does the warranty stack up with a remap + exhaust? There was a recent thread about warranty and non-Audi servicing, would the warranty still hold if it had a non-standard exhaust on?

Cheers!

I purchased my S4 from Audi with a remap and exhaust already fitted - and they still did not honour the warranty on it. If there is any evidence of a remap or any mods they will reject the warranty.

Not sure about the finance... if it is a lease I am sure it would affect it... if it is simply a finance I dont suppose they care assuming you follow through and fully pay for the car/sell it on.

I was too sold a S4 remapped by Audi - a 03 b6 to be exact. Was a blinding bit of kit. Had some early probs on it with respect to a fault airflow sensor and an o2 sensor on the exchaust but they fully honoured the warranty even with it having a remap and a Miltek exhaust. Infact maidstone Audi couldnt have helped me more with it - which is why I am now considering doing the same to the RS4. Although I will tread carefully with this one - especially as I enjoy it so much already. Let me know how you get on with your searching.
