Not even 3k miles, thats a real shame! Dispite what people say, that car will never be the same ever again with that kinda damage!

If it was straight (pre accident), how much would that be worth? How much do you think it is worth when fixed if they sell as an accident repair?

Must be a right bill if they have wrote it off....

Hey Gents,

The ad states that the car is HPI clear so in my understanding it cannot be a wright off!

So potentialy some one has a very cheap RS4 to keep or sell on for book price if it truely is unregistered as they wouldn't have to declaire the damage :? once fixed.

has someone been going too fast with the space saver?

Nah more than likely space saver was put on to move the vehicle or push it along in the workshop after the smash.

Mine was worse than that and it's being repaired!!

If its not a write off, why do they have it?

Insured third party only maybe..........

Imagine how you would feel if you paid 'full' price for that when repaired, only to find it had been damaged :(

I would say the winnig bid is a little high but then I have no idea what it would cost to repair.
at a lower price I guess the fact that the engine and transmission looks fundamentally OK and the rest of the unique RS4 parts (which aren't at the front obviously)are there it makes sense to buy it for those parts and scrap the rest. But at the winning price, I'm not sure it does make sense.

Kinda puts things into reality when you see that f**ked motor will sell for more than mine when it was new.....

The car will have to jigged out to straighten the chassis. it will never be right again. IMO - if the chassis is bent the car should be written off by the insurance company in order to save possible further injury in the event of a further accident further down the road.
